UNIMART AFRICA
Service Provider Terms
These Service Provider Terms apply when you offer services on UNIMART AFRICA (for example tutoring, design, repairs, photography, delivery help, or other campus services). They supplement our Terms of Service, Community Guidelines, and Acceptable Use Policy. Product sellers should also read our Seller Terms.
1. Who these terms cover
You are a “Service Provider” if you publish a service profile or listing, accept bookings or inquiries through UNIMART, or otherwise offer paid or promotional services to users via the Platform—whether as a freelancer, student provider, or business.
2. Discovery and profiles
- Service titles, descriptions, pricing cues, portfolios, and availability must be accurate and not misleading.
- Do not claim skills, certifications, or affiliations you do not have.
- Keep your profile and contact preferences up to date so students can reach you reliably.
- Prohibited or scam services (including academic cheating services) are not allowed—see Community Guidelines.
3. WhatsApp and off-platform bookings
- UNIMART may help students discover you and start a conversation (including via WhatsApp or other messaging channels).
- When a booking or engagement continues on WhatsApp or elsewhere, you remain responsible for clear scope, price, timing, and delivery of the service.
- Do not use discovery leads to spam, harass, or pressure users.
- Do not phish for passwords, OTPs, or unrelated personal data.
- If you share a WhatsApp number or booking link on UNIMART, ensure it is yours (or authorized) and safe for campus use.
4. Response expectations
- Respond to genuine inquiries within a reasonable time—ideally within 24–48 hours on active campus days.
- If you are unavailable, update your status, pause the listing, or send a brief auto-reply where available.
- Repeated non-response to confirmed interest, or accepting work you cannot deliver, may lead to reduced visibility or removal.
- Communicate cancellations early and propose fair alternatives when possible.
5. Pricing and scope
- State base rates, packages, or “from” pricing clearly; disclose major extras before work begins.
- Agree the scope of work (deliverables, revisions, deadlines, location) before taking payment where practical.
- Do not bait students with unrealistically low prices then refuse the advertised service.
6. Delivery of services
- Perform services with reasonable care and skill for the category you advertise.
- Meet agreed deadlines or renegotiate in good faith if circumstances change.
- Respect campus rules, safety, and privacy when working on or near university property.
7. Reviews
- Clients may leave reviews based on real engagements.
- Do not fake, buy, or coerce reviews; do not review yourself from alternate accounts.
- You may respond politely to reviews; harassment or threats in response to feedback are prohibited.
8. Payments
Depending on the feature set available on your campus, payment may happen through UNIMART-supported flows or directly between you and the client (including via WhatsApp-arranged arrangements). Be transparent about how and when payment is due. UNIMART is not automatically a party to every off-platform payment unless we expressly process it.
9. Violations
Breaches of these Terms or Community Guidelines may result in listing removal, reduced discovery ranking, feature limits, suspension, or termination. Serious fraud or harm may be reported to partners or authorities.
10. Independent providers
Unless agreed in writing, Service Providers are independent. Listing on UNIMART does not make you an employee or agent of UNIMART. You are responsible for your own taxes, permits, and professional obligations.
11. Changes
We may update these Service Provider Terms as discovery and booking features evolve. Continued offering of services after an updated effective date constitutes acceptance.
